Do you hear stories of mothers who are prayer warriors for their children, their husband, their friends, and their church families? Ever feel like you fall short in that area? I know this is true for me!

Prayer Warrior-In-Training

It is really hard to sit down for a time of focused prayer when two little kids want my attention. If the kids are sleeping, I must admit that my prayer times often turn to nap times if I sit still for 30 seconds or so. Plus, my mind wanders to things I should be doing and I get distracted from actually praying.

Honestly, my biggest problem, I just simply forget to pray! I think of it in the morning and then all the sudden it is 7:30 at night and I realize that I haven’t prayed all day. Grr…

I want to be a prayer warrior.

I thrill at the idea of modeling a solid prayer life to my kids. My desire is to pray a protective spiritual wall around my home and family.

But more often than not, my prayer life is a little lacking.

Desire alone just isn’t enough.

So what is a Mom to do?

Prayers To Pray In Every Room Of Your House

Currently, to counter this area of weakness, I am finding ways to remind myself to pray in each room of my house. So, as I move through my day, my prayer life can be a natural part of my routine.

How does this look in practice?

Well, let me show you the examples for what I do in each room of my house. For every area there is a designated prayer topic. When I enter a specific room, I try to take a moment to prayer either out loud or in my head for that room’s designated topic.

Keep in mind, I don’t do this every single time I change rooms! Just at certain times throughout the day as God prompts me.

I keep the topics pretty basic and let the Holy Spirit lead me as how to pray at that specific time for the current topic. For this season of life, this method helps me to not let prayer be forgotten in the busy, exhausting days of mothering.

Let’s go over the areas I have and I will show you what prayers I pray. These serve as examples that you can totally switch up as you see fit for your home, routine, and family.

In closing, remember that prayer is an on-going conversation with God. Don’t make it a part of the check list on your to-do sheet. Find ways that will work for you to remember to stop and enjoy communicating with the Lover of your soul.

It is my prayer that you take this list of suggested prayers and use it to spur you on to a closer walk with God throughout your days.

In the comments below, I would love to hear how other mothers find time to spend in prayer.

Do you prefer one quiet time or talks throughout your day? How do you remind yourself to walk with God daily?

I love to hear what you have to say!

I’m new to your site and love all your prayer suggestions. I am a mother and grandmother who sends a devotional to all my family every morning, 11 total. I’m trying to plant seeds of God’s love in each of their hearts. Your prayer suggestions will give me new ideas to share with them. I look forward to following you. God Bless you on your spiritual journey as well.

Thank you so much, I always pray for my children, but I didn’t go to their rooms. Wow, you are open my spiritual eyes about everything now. Even the laundry room omG. On my kids birthday I celebrate them with honey and anointing oil. They drink it. At first they wasn’t like at all, now my twins just turn 16 years old and my 17 years old just accepted Jesus as he’s savior. I’m happy he ask to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. Once again thank you!

Thank you for sharing. As an intercessor, I am thankful for every weapon that God will introduce me to through other prayer warriors. I will include the prayers in my early morning devotions. May God continue to reveal unto you the mysteries of His kingdom as you share with others. I am a grandmother of 5 and my grandchildren does not live with me, but I continually bombard heaven on their behalf and dismantle the works of darkness against them. Prayer is powerful and there is no distance in prayer. Amen blessings

I love this room to room prayer list. Prayer is communicating with God. I am a grandmother 👵🏽now and I ask my children to pray throughout their home room to room
When Satan 👹raise his ugly head I remind them to pray even more. When children try being rebellious, pray more. We must stand as praying warriors. Thank You. It is ok if it begins as a thing to do list, just do it over and over and over. It will soon become like brushing teeth. Ownership steps in when sincerity is stamped on the heart. Personalized !! Praise God🙏🙏🙏

I get excited thinking about what all answered prayers we will get to see once we get to heaven! God is moving in so many ways and I know that we only see just glimpses of it now. 🙂
Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing your encouraging comments!

I prefer talks with God throughout the day but try to also pray in the morning and evening before bed. Although I’ve prayed in my Master bedroom, kitchen and children’s bedrooms, I’ve never thought about having a topic for each room of the house. This is a great idea. Thank you for sharing.
